Festivals are an expressive way to celebrate heritage, culture and tradition. They play an important role to add structure to our social lives and connecting us to our roots. They are important to pass the knowledge of traditions onto the next generation. We are lucky to celebrate both national and Islamic festivals as they both are the integral parts of our life. Suffah Intellectual School lays emphasis on the importance of cultural events. Days like Pakistan day, Independence Day, Allama Iqbal Day, Quid-e-Azam day are celebrated in an appropriate manner. Students are introduced with the importance of that event through speeches and lectures. Special days of Islamic history like birth and death of anbiya –e- karam and khulfa e Rashdeen, are also made special by creating awareness through story-telling and lectures.
Sports are very important part of a child’s growth and development. It increases mental as well as physical growth of a child and thus it is necessary to have sports activities in school. The benefits of playing sports are multiple, and the students learn life skills like teamwork, leadership and patience by playing different sports. When students are physically fit, they will achieve more academically. Physical activity stimulates growth and leads to improved physical and emotional health. Today, research shows that the importance of physical activity in children is stronger than ever. Exercise is also known to relieve stress. Some children experience as much stress, depression, and anxiety as adults do. And because exercise improves health, a fit child is more likely to be well-rested and mentally sharp. Even moderate physical activity has been shown to improve a child’s skill at arithmetic, reading, and memorization. Keeping in view the importance of sports, Suffah intellectual school strives to provide better sports facilities to the students. We have dedicated sports area where proper sports kits are available. There is a separate and spacious hall for indoor activities.
